Sports and educational exercises are very important to improve the mental and psychological condition of the children, their social inclusion as well. REST organised various sports, drawing & easy competitions for the slum men, women, youth, girls & children who came from the same slum.
Final Winners from each competition was followed by a group supper and distribution of gifts. To improve the status and improve living conditions in communities REST conducted socioeconomic base line survey of the Tiruvallur slum. Additionally, it has been recommended repeatedly as a suitable key indicator for poverty alleviation as well.
